Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Not exactly a 'bug' and certainly not something that can be fixed with code, so hopefully the people that made the soudtrack are still working with you guys.
Certain tracks such as 'Appreciating her Company' or 'Appreciating the atmosphere' have clipping artifacts, this is probably due to a mistake with the gain when exporting the music files and the only real way to fix this is to use the original project files for these songs and re-export them with the correct gain settings.
(The red lines are where the clipping occurs)
Songs that have minor but noticeable clipping:
Amberlight Brilliance D ending.ogg
Appreciating the Atmosphere.ogg (Only noticeable where red lines are dense near the middle.)
Bayside bumming it (Altough it's a lot of red it's not super noticeable and could honestly be fixed just by lowering the volume of the song itself)
Beach chill (Very noticeable, especially that big red line near the middle.)
Many Such Cases of Being So True (Mostly the bass after the second ~35)
Ramo de Rosas (Very slight clipping, but mostly noticeable right before the 30 second mark)
Songs that have major noticeable clipping:
Appreciating her company.ogg (The worst offender)
Appreciating the moment.ogg (Only noticeable on the bass)
Ballad of the boot
Draggin on and on (Both the piano and the bass clip)
She fucks human men (Bass line is clipped)
Skinrow Soul
Summertime synt (Synth makes the piano and bass clip)
West coast (Altough not extreamly noticeable it's still there and there's lots of it)
You can't Sage here (The bass is clipped)
Opposite case
Sad!.ogg (Plays on E4, didn't even realize it was playing)
Maybe
That monochromatic weirdo (Clips a lot and is noticeable, but it kind of fits the vibe)
Note: Most (90%) of the tracks contained some form of clipping, but I decided to omit some of them due to the fact that clipping is not as noticeable in synths and electric guitars with a lot of effect (Which is a large portion of the OST).
This is something I've already brought up with the main musician, and we tried fixing it in time during the final patches. Believe me, I was autistic as well about the tracks having issues.
Unfortunately there were many complications with the musician's set up at the time, and now we're focusing on getting soundtracks for the rest of our games underway. However, we do want to eventually fix up the tracks and release them as as a proper album, so it's on the table.
Thank god I'm not the only one. I even thought of recreating Appreciating her company using (What I believe to be) one of the artists' old songs.
But yeah, when I mean horribly clipped I mean horribly, like 90% clipped levels of horrible. Good to know that this could hopefully be fixed 👍
Updated the issue with more info.
I built that (you cant tell because it sucks)
This issue will never be fully resolved, however there were at least a few that could be fixed. Until then, the songs in the game are at their highest quality until someone makes something better.
