There only only translations being done by solo devs that haven't made much progress yet, maybe 3 or 4 max.

There is an official Japanese translation in the works, going at a similar pace though.

Importing all the shit from the polish translation
They sent us a compiled version of the game instead of just their
modificaitons or a patch.

All the wild shits thats edited here because of the Sisyphean task of
dealing with Polish technology.

Revert "Importing all the shit from the polish translation", but keeping files actually relevant to the translation.
This reverts commit 1ddf605a2f.

Hopefully this doesn't create a mess

Alright, so it looks like there was some weirdness with this revert, as a lot of files got reverted to 'old' ones (I don't even know how the new naomifangcg image got treated as an 'old' image, but now the actually old version is in the branch. But the files changed don't show those files, just the ones that are actually the polish translation. Win?

It doesn't look like the rest of the translation needs much work so this can be easy to revert if it fucks up on merge

remove redundant translation images

Pasting a message that was sent to the polish translators just for reference.

The file 'door auditorium text.webp' seemingly was exported with only the text layer active. The text has blending properties, so it needs to have the section of the background it's on exported as well, because it currently appears lighter than it should. Refer to the translation pack's README regarding exporting text that needs the accumulative layers of the rest of the image. It should look like the how other language

The file 'elliot_raptor_shitpost1 text.webp' has the button layer left in.

The insult layers have wildly inconsistent shadow blobs, with some clipping at the bounds of the image and obvious erasing visible.

There are multiple translation scripts with notable missing lines. Those include:
-Chapter 5
-Chapter 6
-Chapter 11A
-Chapter 14A
Some others include translation.rpy (A single 'ok' string), script.rpy (all the character names), and common.rpy (a few renpy-specific strings). However, if these do not need to be translated, nevermind them. You can find these missing strings by regenerating your existing translation scripts with the same 'pl' language name, which will append the strings to the scripts at the bottom of the files.

Note that I'm using the 8.0.3 SDK to find these strings, as that is what Snoot Game uses.

Compared to the english script, there is only one line "Oh." that goes untranslated

The button that prompts to acknowledge any given translation as a fan translation has "OK" in it's strings, and is the only string generated in the corresponding translation script. If this is a non-issue then you can skip.

What do you mean? All the character name definitions are in script.rpy.

common.rpy - I think I've translated that

There were a few misc renpy engine related strings that went untranslated, although by no means required for the average user as they relate only to development. These are:

  • "Open [text] directory."
  • "audio when minimized"
  • "main volume"
  • "mute main"

Skip if unnecessary.

Can you provide the sprites again? They are out of scope for translation but would be better suited as a separate PR for consideration.
Just talked with the head dev of snoot, and said no to both groups of sprites: The naser fingers are intentional, so the lines referencing his fingers are actually writer inconsistencies.

fix all problems with translation
Edited the insult layers to not have clipped shadows, and since the pl translators ditched having multiple fonts, corrected text6 to use Falling Sky
Corrected door auditorium text to be exported correctly
Implemented corrected strings, manually, because I realized the translator based everything off the other language's translation scripts instead of just regenerating the scripts like a normal person, so the 'fixed' scripts still didn't work and I had to manually put the dang lines back in.

remove unncessary choreo colons
I believe this is a ren'py 8.x change: you cannot have colons after
choreo statements unless it has instructions following, or else it
crashes. This removes all instances of that to remove the crashing.
