Figured I'd make a separate issue so that this can be properly discussed.

The translation will be done using renpy's built in translation system. Doing it this way means that making the translations will be a cakewalk, just generate the translation files for the spanish version and generate them for the english version, merge them and done.

But while looking at Queso's translation I discovered that it was made on the 6th version of Snoot, I know that most of the work done on the update 7 was mostly transforms, so I wanted to ask, how much actual dialogue was changed?

Another point of discussion would be how the language selector will be, I was thinking of having flags in the main menu, or maybe ask what language you want to use on the first boot and if you want to change it you have to go through the settings menu.

I recall there were extra lines here and there, specfically additional lines about Naomi.

A good bulk of it is a bunch of select lines throughout the game, which makes it incredibly difficult to pick out by intuition. One idea to pick them all out is generating translation strings for Patch 7 and 6 and running a compare script, possible arrangement differences aside.

Fantastic idea. Will do this, thank you.

Yes, that was already translated. And renpy has a system in place to replace images with their translated counterparts

I'd like to ask, what's your policy on crediting? I'd like to add the translators and proofreaders tothe credits image if it's okay with you guys.

@Gmanon List the credits in plain text, as I'm going over with @MapAnon in redoing the credits in-engine

example:

Translators:
Anon A
Anon 2
Anon III

Proofreaders:
Anon D
Anon IIIII
Anon 6

Redoing the credits in-engine

If by that you mean separating the background and the text I'm already aware and Map already provided me with the necessary files. More specifically I was asking where should I put the names, top or bottom? (I'm aware that I have to leave some black space at the bottom so that the screen can properly scroll). Or rather, does it even matter to you guys?

Not entirely, the background will be seperated but the actual text is rendered in-game, the translation team will be placed after the original credits - this just makes it easier for any other translations we have to bother doing.

Got it, I'll send them when one of the translators gets back to me on what his name should be.
